We offer a screening service to test if you are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
I think I have diabetes
If you think that you have developed type 2 diabetes, we are here to help you. Our test is available for people aged over 16 who may be at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, a condition that is known as insulin resistance.
How does the test work?
You’ll need to come in-store and ask to speak to the pharmacist who will take you into our private consultation area to carry out the test.
1. You will be asked a series of questions to help determine if you are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
2. If you are at risk, the pharmacist will measure your blood pressure, and take your random glucose level by taking a very small sample of blood via a finger prick. There is no need for you to fast prior to this test.
3. Depending on the result of the test, the pharmacist will provide follow-up information. Any further assessments found to be necessary will be arranged with you by the pharmacist.
